Laura Furtado ‘07, MBA ‘16, Director of Advancement Services, has been at Geneva for over ten years. Before that, she worked at American Bridge Company in Coraopolis, PA as a Project Engineer, traveling to job sites across the country. She earned both her MBA and B.S. in Engineering at Geneva. She works behind the scenes managing the database, doing research and ensuring donations are used according to the donors’ wishes and restrictions – a real data guru.
The gifts of scholarship that come into the Foundation have a special significance to her. She has the honor of collecting student thank-you notes, and witnessing the students’ gratitude towards their benefactors, which lifts her spirits. She knows that many students wouldn’t be able to attend Geneva if not for the generosity of alumni and friends who support scholarships at Geneva.
