Andrew Frey joined Geneva with 7 years of fundraising experience in a variety of non-profit settings, most recently with the CCO (Coalition for Christian Outreach). The CCO calls college students to serve Jesus Christ with their entire lives by sharing the Gospel with them, inviting students into the lives of local congregations, and giving them a vision for serving Jesus in whatever field they choose to pursue. Coming to Geneva is a natural transition for Andrew.
Andrew brings special skills as a Campaign Manager having completed the same role successfully at the CCO. “We are very fortunate to hire such an able person, with deep history to Geneva College, as our campaign manager. His deep commitment to Christ, along with his experience with CCO and The Focus Group (consultants to the campaign), is ideal for managing this campaign, says Dr. Marvin Dewey, President of the Geneva College Foundation.
Andrew earned his undergraduate degree from Gordon College in Vocal Performance and his MBA from the University of Phoenix and continues to sing with the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh, which was recently nominated for 2 Grammy Awards with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.
As the son of long-time professor Dr. Brad Frey, Andrew grew up riding his bike on campus and attending college events. Returning to Geneva is a homecoming of sorts. Andrew believes that students developing a vision for vocation is central to their understanding of calling and living as a Christian in the world and is excited to help support that mission.
