Dave Murray '87 Memorial Pavilion

Dave Murray '87 impacted hundreds of students at Geneva College during his playing and coaching career from 1984-2005. Coach Murray passed in August 2021, and the impact has been felt by the Geneva community and beyond.

Geneva College and friends of Coach Murray are planning to honor him and help keep his legacy alive with an on-campus memorial to recognize his coaching ministry and service to God and young people.

Plans are underway to honor Coach Murray with a 30’x40’ multi-purpose pavilion on the athletic complex of Geneva College, overlooking the soccer field for game viewing. This pavilion will accomodate approximately 100 people and be a home for alumni gatherings, student events and get-togethers at Geneva for years to come. It will be a place where community happens and relationships deepen in the way that was so meaningful to Coach Murray.
