Geneva baseball alumni and friends have created an opportunity for us to transform Geneva’s baseball facilities. As a member of the Presidents’ Athletic Conference, Geneva Athletics is committed to providing quality facilities for its student-athletes in its 20 varsity sports. The baseball field turf project would be a game-changer in the way that our student-athletes compete and train throughout the year.

An artificial turf infield will enable us to:
Geneva will have a state-of-the-art playing surface in the PAC (Presidents’ Athletic Conference). Facilities are a major decision factor for DIII prospects, and the turf will help us win key recruiting battles.
An all-weather infield will cut postponements and increase quality classroom time for baseball players, whose schedules are more frequently disrupted than student athletes in any other collegiate sport. Turf infields drain quickly, allowing games to continue even after heavy rain.
Coaches will spend more quality time coaching. The turf will maximize fall and spring practice time and minimize coaches’ time devoted to field preparation. No more mowing, watering, or reconditioning.
Through the generosity of the challenge match provided by a group of Geneva College Baseball alumni and friends, the College has already received half of the $330,000 we need to complete the 33rd Street Field Infield Turf Project. We can begin construction as soon as we have received $165,000 in matching gift commitments to meet the challenge and reach the $330,000 goal.
Please prayerfully consider how you might play a meaningful role in this transformative project to advance Golden Tornado baseball, and enhance the ministry of education for years to come.
